Open M.Sc. and Ph.D. Positions in Mobile LiDAR Systems

Three research positions (2 MSc and 1 PhD, with funding) are currently available at the Centre for research in geomatics of Laval University. These projects are part of a research program that aim to improve the performance of LiDAR systems installed on mobile vehicles (marine, land), increasingly used in the fields of coastal erosion monitoring, marine infrastructure inspection and coastline survey features.

We are looking for candidates with a background in geomatics sciences or engineering and possibly with knowledge in GNSS/Inertial navigation and LiDAR data collection and processing or candidates with a background in computer sciences or engineering with knowledge in sensor integration and software development. The students will have access to a stimulating scientific environment both at the Centre for Research in Geomatics (Laval University) and at the Interdisciplinary Center for the Development of Ocean Mapping (CIDCO).
